It’s the little things that make a house a home. Like the Christmas afghan from my son, Danny, with the embroidered message: “Love You Mom”. And the little wooden calendar – a gift from my son, Patrick.
When I purchased this yarn to weave a table runner for the top of my dresser, I wanted a very bright pink – and found six skeins of my favorite chunky yarn. Adding the dollhouse hutch and bear this week – another gift from Danny. So, it’s definitely so much more than another weaving, or chunky yarn. It’s a place for my treasures, and my memories.
This weaving was also made using my lap loom. It is one of the first pieces that I made using chunky yarn – which is now my favorite yarn.
Another weaving using my lap loom and Sari Silk yarn. Which I really enjoyed working with since it added color and texture to the finished piece.
Another earlier piece – woven on my lap loom with worsted yarns and ribbon.
